A three-day honor band experience developed for intermediate and advanced woodwind/brass players and percussionists by band director nomination.
Hosted and presented by WP faculty with a culminating concert on Tuesday, January 9th @ 7:30 PM.

WP Woodwind Day

A day of masterclasses, performances and music-making designed for 9th-12th grade flutists, oboists, bassoonists, clarinetists, and saxophonists of all playing abilities. Middle school students are also welcome to attend.
Presented by WP's Woodwind faculty: Teresa Purcell-Giles (flute), Crystal Yoon (oboe/guest clinician), Andrea Herr (bassoon), Andy Lamy (clarinet), James Noyes (saxophone), Tim Ruedeman (saxophone).
WP Band Day

You are invited to our annual Band Day Clinic. Ensembles will perform in WP's Shea Auditorium, receive recorded feedback from one of our esteemed clinicians, and participate in an interactive clinic session with a clinician and members of the WP Chamber Winds. Band Day also includes performances by WP's Wind Symphony and Chamber Winds ensembles.
Teaching & Conducting Workshop

A workshop aimed at enhancing and developing conducting skill, rehearsal technique and large ensemble pedagogy.
Geared towards new teachers in the 1st-5th years of teaching, though teacher/conductors of all ages are welcome.
Participants will conduct the WP Wind Symphony and participate in sessions presented by WP faculty and guest clinicians.

A concert featuring Dan Brown's Wild Symphony, this performance is tailored to classes of neurodiverse learners with sensory sensitivies from our partner schools and districts.
Participation in this school day concert is free, though registration is required.
Registration opens August 15th.

Tickets can be purchased through William Paterson Presents, starting August 15th, 2023.
Tickets are $10-$15 and are available to the public, starting Aug. 28th, 2023.
